OUTREACH REGISTRATION
We are excited to offer diverse ministry opportunities in Kansas City during Challenge.
How to Register
As churches register for Challenge, they have the option of also registering for Outreach by choosing day(s) to participate and their desired type of Outreach opportunity. (Read below for further details.) If a church doesn’t register for Outreach when they initially register for Challenge, they can update their registration by June 15, 2026.
- We can accommodate approximately 1,500 outreach participants per day; we have historically maxed out this availability.
- We expect churches to participate in outreach with a 10:1 student-to-leader ratio.
Deadline for registering and for requesting registration changes is June 15.
Choose Your Day
At Challenge, churches have the opportunity to customize four afternoons for the unique needs of their group. Due to the logistics, transportation needs and community partnerships involved, groups are limited to two afternoons of outreach.
When submitting outreach registration, churches need to choose which day(s) they would like to do outreach.
Choose Your Outreach Opportunity
We are pleased to offer two different types of outreach.
Prayer
There are three types of prayer outreach facilitated by the Challenge team. Training will be provided for each opportunity.
- Prayer Stations: Groups will engage people at various sites around the city, offering to pray with people as they go about their day.
- Prayer Walks: Groups will have a planned route to pray for various needs in the community and for their own youth groups.
- Ministry prayer partners: Groups will partner with local churches and ministries, learning about these ministries and supporting them by praying for and with ministry leaders.
Service Projects
Service projects mobilize groups to roll up your sleeves and serve with your hands, muscles and hearts, and make a real difference in the city by putting faith into action.
Groups will serve across the city, showing God’s love in real and practical ways. Some example projects could be serving the homeless, revitalizing homes for elderly people or families in need, partnering with community organizations or historical societies, assisting with community gardens, serving alongside local churches, or refreshing local parks and playgrounds. Plan to dress to do some work that could be messy or outdoors!
